   RedWind Retrievers strives to breed Happy, Healthy, Handsome Golden Retrievers who properly fit the AKC Breed Standard. All of our dogs are correctly health tested through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and Embark (Genetic Testing). 

​

   RedWind's goal is to continue bettering the Golden Retriever. To do this, our mission is to produce Golden Retrievers who can compete in Conformation Shows and Field/Hunt Trials and Tests. Longevity, Health, Temperament, and Function are all matters that we weigh heavily when we consider producing a litter. RedWind spends months (sometimes longer) of researching pedigrees in order to ensure that we are only producing puppies that add to the Golden Retriever breed.

 

   Through months of research, we have discovered that most breeders either focus on pedigrees who come from strictly Conformation Lines or just Working Lines. Considering the Golden Retriever was originally bred to retrieve waterfowl and small upland game, we are focusing our breeding program on producing Golden Retrievers who can compete in both the Show Ring and in the Field.
